Wi-Fi works best for live demos

Vonal can work over mobile data, but a weak or changing signal may add a delay to captions and translations. For the smoothest experience, connect the host device to reliable Wi-Fi before you start.

Credits & billing

How translation minutes are counted

  • All languages included. Credits match how long you speak, not how many languages you offer. Speak for 1 minute with 5 languages active and 1 minute of credit is used.
  • 1 free hour to try. New accounts start with 1 free hour of translation time — enough to run a real event. Need more before subscribing? Buy a one-time top-up pack from your Account page.
  • Credits don't roll over. Monthly credits expire at the end of each billing month and reset with your next cycle. Unused minutes do not carry forward.

Auto-stop safeguards

Sessions end on their own if you forget

To protect your credits if you walk away or close your laptop, every live session will automatically end when any of these happen:

  • 10 minutes of silence. If no speech is detected for 10 minutes while the mic is on, the session ends automatically.
  • Tab closed or device asleep. Closing the host tab or putting your device to sleep ends the session so credits stop being used.

You can always end a session manually with the End session button. There's no maximum session length — run for as long as your event needs.
